AGLOCO

http://www.agloco.com/r/BBFK3859
As I am sure you know by now, AGLOCO has launched their program. Touted to be the Internet's first Economic Network, which will harness the power of the Internet-based social networks to "directly benefit the Members who help to create the community". What does that mean?
The founders of AGLOCO (A Global Community) saw the huge potential in the social networks like MySpace, Facebook, and YouTube. All those potential customers have advertisers drooling at the mouth. If the users created the community why not give them a portion of the ad revenue that was being generated. Share the wealth. AGLOCO was their answer.
How would this work? I'm glad you asked. You have to become a member of AGLOCO. You first are required to fill out a simple sign-up-page. After that you must download a piece of software they are calling a "Viewbar". (Currently being tested) Oh did I mention that this is FREE? Yep a free membership.
The viewbar would allow you to do an Internet search. The search engine provider would then pay AGLOCO a fee. While you are doing your search the viewbar would have targeted advertising displayed. If you were to click on the ad and subsequently make a purchase, then AGLOCO would be paid a fee. Obviously the more people who become members, the higher the fee AGLOCO can demand from the advertisers. A large portion of that money would then be paid back to the members. Other expected sources of income include commissions form transactions, the distribution of software, services distribution and product distribution with the accompanying referral fees.
Members earn a monthly share of the AGLOCO revenue based on the use of the viewbar each month. Those members who refer others, will earn even more. The idea is to build the membership numbers as quickly as possible. Since members are rewarded for those they refer, the critics have screamed "pyramid scheme". You will have to decide for your self.
According to the Agloco web page, members are not expected to do anything differently from the way they use the web every day. Surf, chat, buy, blog, email and work just like always. The only difference is members will have their viewbar open.
Another concern that has been mentioned is the fear of a lack of privacy. Maybe there is secret spy ware that is waiting to harvest your information. Founders have assured everyone that this is not the case and the public scrutiny AGLOCO is undergoing should be an adequate deterrent to keep everyone honest. The company has been very straight foreword in their determination to abide by the anti-spamming rules set by the international web community.
Even the critics agree that AGLOCO has become a phenomenon that will have to be reckoned with. If it fails you can always feel good about saying "I told you so". But what if the critics are wrong? What have you got to loose? It doesn't cost you anything and might over time be of value. It is also fun to get on board at the head of the line and see where this thing will go! Besides when was the last time you owned the Internet?
